bridging the gap in maternity care
Meet a Midwife was created to bridge the gap between clinical maternity care and the real-life emotional and professional challenges working parents face.
continuity of care
We work proudly alongside NHS services, providing continuity, education, and personalised support that helps parents feel informed, reassured, and empowered.
where it all began
Meet a Midwife was created to bridge the gap in maternity care by supporting, not replacing, the NHS. We offer continuity of care through webinars, career coaching and 1:1 time with a midwife outside of usual NHS appointments, giving parents the space, reassurance and guidance they often don’t have time for elsewhere.
The idea was born from the founders’ own experience: Gracie is a practising NHS midwife, and Katie is a business owner who had the privilege of Gracie delivering her son. Because they were already friends, Katie experienced a rare kind of ongoing, trusted support throughout her pregnancy. Most people don’t have a midwife in their friendship group — so Meet a Midwife was created for employers to offer this same level of continuity as a real benefit to their employees.
It supports parents’ mental and physical wellbeing, while helping organisations build a workforce that feels heard, supported and more likely to stay.
For employers, it’s a powerful way to reduce turnover, boost engagement and demonstrate genuine commitment to working parents.
